AS a gesture of appreciation for their participation in the Christmas Tree decorating contest this year,
the Paseo de Marianas Promoters, Inc. hosted an early Christmas lunch for the manamko’ at the Office on Aging on Thursday.
Sonia Siwa of the PDM Promoters said that this is the second year they hosted a special Christmas treat for the manamko’.
“This is also the second year that the manamko’ participated in our annual Christmas Tree decoration contest at the Paseo de Marianas, and we appreciate their efforts,” Siwa said.
“This is just one way of showing to the manamko’ that we value their participation and we support them, and we hope to have more participation from them in the coming years,” Siwa said.
Kinpachi Restaurant and its staff took care of the food served during the lunch treat on Thursday, Siwa said.
Director for Office on Aging Rose Mondala handed a plaque of appreciation to PDM Promoters, Inc. director and chief executive officer Misako Kamata after the luncheon.
The manamko’s christmas tree decorated with ornaments made from recycled materials is just one of the colorful Christmas trees at the Paseo de Marianas, along with the Christmas trees from 15 participating schools for the annual contest, and the towering 30-foot Christmas tree PDM Promoters installed at the heart of Garapan.
The manamko’ community comprise over 70 individuals from 60 years old and up.
